The Big Picture: Instant Reactions to a Truly Ludicrous Golden Globes | The Oscars Show (Ep. 115) (host)

Loves A Star Is Born, Mark Ronson, and a fun-to-hang actor; ardent about preferential balloting. Can't stand overstated awards punditry and Kevin Hart's handling. Sucker for Queen and Glenn Close moments.

Stances

  • The Globes' winners reflect HFPA flaws
  • Presenting is different from hosting
  • The Academy has no vision

Humor: Dry, deadpan jokes about her husband, her unseen Wife, and singing Shallow.

In their words

  • “I find him so handsome.” (0:25:28)
  • “Glenn Close, I commit to you, I will see the wife.” (0:45:24)

Their shows' recurring bits

Running bits, not opinions; a critic read aloud is cited, not present.
